Holistic Care
A little about me
My professional background spans education, mental health and sport, giving me a broad perspective on the many different pressures, experiences and transitions that can shape our lives.
For seven years, I worked within an integrated NHS mental health team, an experience that has been hugely influential in developing my understanding of people, relationships and the complex circumstances that can affect our emotional wellbeing. Alongside my counselling work, I have continued to develop my professional knowledge through further training in couples work, supervision and solution-focused approaches.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within the professional and ethical framework expected of a BACP member. I also provide supervision for counselling students and developing practitioners, alongside my therapeutic work.

Therapeutic Approach
I believe that therapy should begin with you as an individual, rather than with a diagnosis, a label or a predetermined idea of how you should be.
No two people are alike. We each have our own experiences, relationships, ways of processing the world and stories that have shaped us. I want to understand your world from your perspective and work collaboratively with you to explore what is happening and what you would like to be different.
As an integrative practitioner, I draw from different therapeutic approaches according to what is most helpful for the person sitting in front of me. My work can incorporate person-centred, solution-focused, transactional analysis, psychodynamic and Gestalt approaches, alongside psychoeducation and trauma stabilisation where appropriate.
For me, therapy isn't about telling you what to do. It is about creating a safe space where you can make sense of your experiences, develop greater self-awareness and, where you want to, begin to make meaningful changes.
Sometimes the most valuable part of therapy is simply having someone genuinely listen without judgement.
